Friendsgiving at The Leaf Lounge

The Friendsgiving Variety Show is a retro-inspired event poster designed for a real community celebration. To protect client details, the venue and location were fictionalized as The Leaf Lounge in Maverick, Alaska. Inspired by 1950s advertising, this piece combines playful illustration, vintage typography, and a warm autumn palette to capture the spirit of gratitude and togetherness.

This project was originally created for a local institute’s Friendsgiving event, later reimagined to maintain client privacy. I leaned into a nostalgic 1950s aesthetic — bold line art, textured paper, and warm tones — to evoke the charm of vintage variety show posters. The result is a heartfelt blend of classic design and modern storytelling.
